Our client is opening a new Apex roof coating location for RVs and is seeking a hands-on ShopManagerto lead daily operations, manage workflow, support the team, and ensure customers receive a high-quality experience from start to finish.
This role is focused on RV roof coating, prep, production, quality control, customer communication, and shop performance. The right candidate will understand RV service operations, be comfortable leading technicians, and know how to keep work moving in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
Shop Operations & Production
Oversee daily operations for the Apex RV roof coating shop
Manage workflow from intake through prep, coating, inspection, and delivery
Coordinate active jobs and ensure units move through the process efficiently
Monitor job progress, timelines, and quality standards
Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safety expectations
Ensure equipment, tools, and materials are properly maintained and available
Help create structure, consistency, and accountability as the new location grows
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and support technicians and shop staff
Set clear expectations for productivity, quality, safety, and communication
Provide hands-on guidance on the shop floor when needed
Support training around prep work, masking, coating process, inspections, and workflow
Build a team-focused environment with strong accountability
Help identify staffing needs as volume increases
Quality Control & Safety
Ensure all roof coating work is completed according to company process and quality standards
Inspect work at key stages, including prep, masking, coating, and final review
Confirm units are clean, complete, and ready before customer delivery
Reinforce proper use of PPE, including respirators and other required safety equipment
Maintain safety standards for working around RVs, ladders, roofs, spray equipment, and coating materials
Customer Experience
Serve as a key point of contact for customers throughout the service process
Communicate clearly by phone, text, and in person
Set expectations around timelines, updates, and completed work
Handle customer concerns or escalations professionally
Ensure each customer has a smooth experience from drop-off through delivery
Business Performance
Support revenue growth by improving workflow, efficiency, and production output
Monitor active jobs to help reduce delays and keep units moving
Review completed work orders and confirm required steps are completed before delivery
Help control waste, rework, and avoidable delays
Take ownership of shop performance, team productivity, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Required
Prior RV service, repair, collision, or related shop experience
Strong understanding of RV construction, roof systems, repair processes, or service operations
Leadership experience in a shop, service, production, or hands-on operational environment
Ability to manage multiple active jobs at one time
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to resolve issues professionally and keep work moving
Hands-on leadership style with comfort being active on the shop floor
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred
Experience with RV roof repair, roof coatings, sealants, paint, body work, or spray application
Background managing a high-volume service or production environment
Experience launching, growing, or improving shop operations
Familiarity with workflow management, work orders, inspections, and customer updates
Experience leading technicians or skilled trades teams
