POSITION OVERVIEW

Maintains facility in a clean and orderly manner by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates forklift as needed to move non-production items. Maintains break and rest room areas in clean and sanitary condition. Empties cardboard container and binds them with binding machine. Cleans shop hallways with automated floor sweeper and by hand when necessary. Cleans all office spaces. Restocks all hand towel, air deodorizer, toilet paper and hand soap dispensers. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends as required by union contract. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
