Rules Analyst

Location: Des Moines, Iowa (Partial Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Rules Analyst to work with end-users on business requirements for business rulesets and attribute development. This role involves overseeing functional testing, providing subject matter expertise on systems and products, and acting in a consultative capacity to resolve complex problems. The position requires maintaining strong customer relationships and leading meetings regarding projects and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with end-users to complete business requirements for business rulesets and associated attribute development, including automated underwriting rules, renewal workflow rules, Letter of Authority rules, MVR/Driver Management rules, and product rules.
• Oversee functional testing and implementation of attributes and business rules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise and deep functional system and product knowledge, including understanding the upstream and downstream impact of changes.
• Act in a consultative role to provide resolutions to complex problems.
• Foster strong customer relationships and understand how the corporation operates.
• Lead meetings with internal teams and customers regarding projects, enhancements, and support.
• Maintain thorough documentation of processes and support ad hoc analysis as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.

Experience: 7+ years of Business Analyst, P&C, or functional experience.

Technical Skills: Guidewire PolicyCenter experience and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and concepts.
• Business Knowledge, Flexibility, and Planning skills.
• Proficiency in Process Management and Relationship Building.
• A results-oriented mindset and the ability to work with little oversight.
