Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Ruby on Rails Software Eng for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX/Sunnyvale, CA/Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will lead the design, coding, testing, and implementation of large-scale web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Rate Range: $56/Hour to $58/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Ruby on Rails Software Eng Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, and implement scalable full-stack web applications using Ruby on Rails and modern front-end technologies.

• Build and maintain APIs and system integrations to support business-critical applications and services.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application performance, capacity, and system reliability issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business partners, infrastructure teams, and external vendors, to deliver effective technology solutions.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across applications, databases, and enterprise systems.

• Create and maintain technical documentation while contributing to CI/CD, testing, and DevOps best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 8-10 years of professional software engineering experience, including 6+ years of hands-on Ruby on Rails development.

• Strong expertise in API design, full-stack development (React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS), and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Experience with GoLang or Java, along with exposure to CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $58.00 per hour
