General Statement of Job:
The Boca Raton Public Library empowers our community to discover, connect, and create through quality collections and resources, information assistance, educational programs, and lifelong learning opportunities. The Boca Raton Library has four service centers - the Spanish River Library, the Downtown Library, Mobile Library Services, and the Digital Library.
Under the direction of a Library Assistant II Lead Worker, a Library Assistant III, or a Librarian II, part-time Library Assistant II positions are responsible for general functions of the library, which may include accounts, information, or library material assistance at the public desks, adult instruction, youth programs, or library promotion, outreach, and events.

Additional experience is accepted as a minimum requirement in lieu of the postsecondary degree on the following basis: additional four (4) years in lieu of the bachelor's degree, and additional two (2) years in lieu of an associate degree.

CITY OF BOCA RATON - BENEFITS SUMMARY

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible to receive Paid Leave and to contribute to the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, a part-time employee must have worked at least 1,040 hours in the prior fiscal year
PAID LEAVE: Employees who work a minimum of 1,040 hours per fiscal year will receive twelve (12) hours of Paid Leave on October 1st. This Paid Leave shall be used no later than September 30th of that fiscal year or it will be forfeited. These hours may not accumulate and may only be granted with the approval of the employees supervisor. This paid leave has no cash value at separation of employment.
MISSION SQUARE 457 DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN: Employees who work a minimum of 1,040 hours per fiscal year will be allowed to participate in the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan. The City will not provide any matching funds.
