    We are seeking a Roving Operations Advisor to join our Projects team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan''s Purse are to help people in Jesus'' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    In the role of Roving Operations Advisor, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ

    • Develops and delivers biblically enriched training for DART (Disaster Assistance Response Team) Operations and field office procurement teams through remote teaching, job aids, mentoring, and practical process improvements that strengthen operational integrity and effectiveness.

    • Builds a culture of collective learning and continuous improvement by capturing and documenting successes, promising practices, and lessons learned, while curating field-based solutions and initiatives to encourage peer-to-peer learning.

    • Strengthens compliance and operational excellence by supporting policy and Field Operations Guide revisions, annual compliance training, and best practices in procurement and operations, while evaluating training effectiveness and partnering with the Curriculum Specialist to continually improve curriculum.

    • Provides operational leadership and support in the field by serving on the Incident Management Team as required, collaborating with POST to support Operations staff in established offices, and developing ongoing training and mentoring relationships with deployed DART Operations members.

    • Deploys with DART as needed to establish consistent operational practices, reinforce procurement policy adherence, and provide hands-on training and support to DART Operations staff in the field, helping ensure excellence in service and ministry response.

    As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

    • Education: Bachelor''s degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field with two to three years of international humanitarian experience, preferably in disaster response and an operations-related management role with Samaritan''s Purse, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire

    • Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of procurement and operations within the Samaritan''s Purse context, including Procurement Policy and Field Operating Guidelines, operational best practices, fixed assets, fleet, human resources, base management, warehousing, information technology, budgeting, financial management, and procurement planning.

    • Ability to understand the structure, roles, and ministry activities of a Samaritan''s Purse field office and contextualize information appropriately to support effective, Christ-centered ministry operations.

    • Ability to develop and lead practical training on procurement and operations, including standard procurement processes, quote analysis, public tenders, fraud prevention and detection, fixed assets, fleet, human resources, base management, warehousing, information technology, and the Samaritan''s Purse Fixed Asset System (FASt).

    • Ability to communicate and train effectively across diverse cultural and operational contexts, equipping field teams to uphold Samaritan''s Purse standards, strengthen stewardship and accountability, and faithfully support ministry objectives.
