Job Title: Route Service Representative
Job Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 2 Months 
Shift Schedule: Monday thru Friday 10am-7:30pm

Pay Range: $20.14 - $ 23.16

Summary:
The Route Service Representative (RSR) is the face of our company to the public and our customers, acting as an Ambassador in all interactions. This position involves managing day-to-day route operations by addressing client needs related to tracking, sorting, storing, and transporting patient specimens and other materials, including supplies and patient results.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compliance with all processes, including timekeeping, attendance, punctuality, vehicle safety and cleanliness, safety and OSHA requirements, handheld/scanning device usage, and proper handling and storage of samples.
  • Ensure the safe and timely transportation of specimens, supplies, reports, equipment, and materials to the appropriate destination.
  • Operate company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record within acceptable company guidelines.
  • Ensure the route is started with proper equipment tools, such as route scanner sync/paper logs, carry bag, and prepared coolers for thermal storage.
  • Follow the scheduled/sequenced route while allowing for will-call stops and special pickups.
  • Maintain specimen integrity, including the use of a specimen carry bag to transport specimens by temperature.
  • Follow all scan/documentation requirements, including tissue/irreplaceable and frozen tracking processes.
  • Place "Door Hanger" for will-call clients with no specimens out and notify the Supervisor and/or Team Leader of service issues.
  • Communicate with Dispatch before leaving an area to ensure will-calls have been cleared.
  • Keep route information, sequencing, and client notes up to date.
  • Attend and be punctual for meetings and training sessions.
  • Meet all training requirements in a timely manner as assigned.
  • Properly care for and maintain company equipment, including scanners, telephones, and vehicles, and communicate any deficiencies.
  • Document and provide appropriate client satisfaction information to Logistics Management.
  • Maintain professionalism and a service orientation with clients using Everyday Excellence and the Five Guiding Principles.
