Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner. The role involves operating a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. Responsibilities include loading and unloading laundry carts, establishing professional relationships with customers, and providing quality customer service. The role requires representing the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post-route inspections, maintaining DOT compliance, and following hours of service rules are essential. Adherence to standard vehicle operating procedures is mandatory.

Essential Duties

  • Maintain excellent attendance.
  • Meet established route schedules.
  • Exhibit good communication and customer service skills.
  • Follow all company safety rules.

  • Follow directions given by supervisors or managers.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Keep a safe, clean, and organized work area in line with company policies.
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
  • Work past the schedule if production/delivery issues arise.
  • Properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork.
  • Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Cross-train on other routes as per department needs.
  • Perform equipment moves to service providers for repairs and service as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day.
  • Ability to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).
  • Must consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling.
  • Valid Class B driver's license.
  • Adherence to all DOT, state, and local regulations.
  • Must have a clean driving record per company policy.
  • One year of experience.
  • Availability to drive nights and weekends.
  • Ability to speak and read the English language.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to use repetitive arm motions.

Shift Details

  • CDL "B"... Sunday thru Thursday - 8pm to 4am
