Route Driver CDL DIRECT HIRES

Job Summary

Operate a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. Responsibilities include loading and unloading laundry carts, establishing professional relationships with customers, and providing quality customer service. Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations. Ensure the safe operation of company vehicles, including pre- and post-route inspections. Maintain DOT compliance and adhere to hours of service rules. Follow standard vehicle operating procedures.

This position is based in Batavia, NY, a charming city known for its rich history and vibrant community. Batavia offers a welcoming atmosphere and a convenient location between Buffalo and Rochester, making it an ideal place to work and live.

Essential Duties

• Maintain excellent attendance.

• Properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork.
• Perform daily visual inspections of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Cross-train on other routes as needed.
• Transport equipment to service providers for repairs and maintenance as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day.
• Ability to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).
• Meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling consistently.
• Valid Class driver's license.
• Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain a clean driving record per company policy.
• Have one year of experience.
• Available to drive nights and weekends.
• Ability to speak and read the English language.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to use repetitive arm motions.

Shift Details

As this is a union shop, drivers must be open to the following start times: 2pm, 4pm, 7pm, and 10pm.
