We are seeking a Rotor Balancing Technician to perform mechanical operations, precision balancing, assembly, and inspection of turbomachinery components and rotating assemblies. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision balancing, mechanical assembly, and inspection of turbomachinery components and rotating assemblies.
- Assemble components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, specifications, and established procedures.
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to inspect components and verify quality.
- Complete inspection reports, document quality issues, and assist with identifying solutions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years of experience in an industrial or machine shop environment preferred.
- Must have experience with component assembly and/or dynamic balancing is highly preferred.
- Must have ability to read and understand assembly and manufacturing drawings.
- Must be mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail, patience, and a willingness to learn.
- Must have ability to work in a physically demanding shop environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 lbs., and operating basic material-handling equipment.
