This salary range reflects placement on the Rockford Education Association (REA) salary schedule based on verified, comparable education and experience. The REA salary schedule is based on a 9-month work calendar; however, this ROTC Instructor position is an 11-month position. The salary will be annualized to reflect the additional months of employment.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: A JROTC Senior Army Instructor (SAI) A JROTC Senior Army Instructor (SAI) serves as the department head and chief instructor for a high school's Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps program. The SAI manages daily operations, teaches leadership and citizenship curricula, and coordinates unit administration with school and military authorities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position must possess at least a bachelor's degree and must be certified by Cadet Command. Must hold Officer rank: CPT/O-3 COL/O-6 and have served a minimum of 8 years in the Army.
