A Day in the Shop

You start your morning reviewing incoming work orders: a mix of electric motors and pumps from commercial, municipal, irrigation, and pool applications. You tag each unit, note the symptoms, and move to teardown. With hand tools, impacts, drills, grinders, and precise measuring tools, you strip components to their cores, identifying worn bearings, seals, and shafts. Some parts head to the sandblaster for cleanup. Others need heat and finesse—the oxy-fuel torch comes out to loosen stubborn fits.

By midday, you’re rebuilding assemblies, pressing in new bearings, installing seals, and reassembling housings. You run bench tests, verify performance, and prepare units for return to the customer. Throughout the day, you keep the work area organized, jump in to support teammates on larger shop projects, and take pride in sending reliable equipment back into service.
