Responsible for strategic leadership, technical governance, compliance, training, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of the Company''s Rope Access Program across all operating locations. Serves as the company''s technical authority and subject matter expert for rope access operations and ensures compliance with applicable industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations. Support Brown & Root''s ZERO Harm 24/7 effort to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace for our employees, our clients, subcontractors, and the public.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Rope Access Program Management

  • Ensure consistency across all projects and locations. o Support operations growth and expansion into new markets and clients.

  • Serve as the company''s subject matter expert (SME) and technical authority (TA) for rope access operations.

  • Ensure comliance with:

  • SPRAT requirements

  • IRATA International requirements (if applicable)

  • OSHA regulations

  • Client requirements

  • Company processes and procedures

  • Monitor industry''s best practices and regulatory changes.

  • Ensure project level audits and assessments are conducted.

  • Ensure coordination with emergency response organizations as applicable.

  • Validate rescue drills and exercises conducted annually.

  • Participate in client audits and prequalification reviews as required.

  • Support operations and business development to present rope access capabilities.

  • Support operations in bidding, estimating, and planning rope access projects.

  • Collaborate with cross functional groups to set up new Rope Access Projects.

  • Participate in incident investigations involving rope access activities.

  • Conduct periodic field audits.

  • Support operations to develop corrective actions and improvement plans.

  • Oversight of supplemental subcontracted rope access providers if required.

  • Technical Authority and Subject Matter Expert

  • Provide technical support to operations and project teams.

  • Approve rope access methods and procedures.

  • Review complex rigging plans.

  • Review high-risk work scopes.

  • Review and approve rescue plans.

  • Evaluate non-standard rope access applications.

  • Stop rope access operations that present unacceptable risk.

  • Approve or reject rope access work plans.

  • Personnel Management

  • Support operations and HR in recruiting and workforce development.

  • Ensure certification (re-certification) and competency of Rope Access Personnel.

  • Maintain certification records and training matrices.

  • Conduct field assessments of Rope Access technicians and supervisors.

  • Mentor Level III Supervisors and Project Managers.

  • Equipment Management

  • Support operations and procurement in equipment selection and purchase.

  • Ensure equipment inspection and retirement criteria.

  • Ensure equipment traceability and inventory controls.

  • Ensure equipment audit and inspections at project locations.

  • Ensure rescue equipment availability.
