This role combines roofing quality inspections, minor repairs, job-site oversight, and subcontractor support. You'll visit residential (and some commercial) job sites, evaluate completed work, identify deficiencies, document findings, and work directly with project managers and subcontractors to make sure issues are addressed.

We're looking for someone who knows roofing beyond just the basics. You should be comfortable identifying installation issues, explaining what needs to be corrected, and performing minor repairs yourself when needed.

  • Evaluate workmanship, materials, installation methods, and overall job-site conditions.

  • Identify installation deficiencies and ensure work meets company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building codes.

  • Document findings, deficiencies, and completed work through photos, videos, and inspection reports.

  • Verify corrections have been completed properly.

Field Operations & Job-Site Oversight

  • Visit job sites and provide on-site oversight to help maintain quality and accountability.

  • Communicate directly with project managers, coordinators, and subcontractors regarding job progress and required corrections.

  • Help ensure subcontractors are following proper installation procedures and company expectations.

  • Provide guidance and hands-on training to subcontractors when workmanship or installation techniques need improvement.

Roofing Repairs & Technical Support

  • Perform minor roofing repairs and corrections when necessary.

  • Install tarps when needed to protect properties from further damage.

  • Conduct repair videos and document roof conditions for project files and insurance-related processes.

  • Assist with ITEL reports and other field documentation as assigned.

Roofing Experience & Knowledge

Our projects involve a variety of roofing systems, with the majority consisting of shingles and modified bitumen.

Approximate project breakdown:

Required Experience:

  • Previous roofing industry experience is required.

  • Strong knowledge of shingle roofing systems and installation practices.

  • Ability to identify poor workmanship, installation deficiencies, and potential roofing issues.

  • Experience performing minor roofing repairs.

  • Ability to safely access and inspect rooftops.

Additional Experience That Will Stand Out:

  • Modified bitumen, coatings, spray foam, and tile roofing.

  • Roofing quality control or inspection experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize when something isn't right.

  • Confident communicating with subcontractors, project managers, and field teams.

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple job-site visits.

  • Willingness to get hands-on with repairs when needed.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile apps for photos, videos, and job documentation.

  • Pay: $26–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

  • Full-time, stable employment.
