The Rogue Retreat AmeriCorps volunteers provide meaningful service that addresses critical community needs across Southern Oregon. These programs improve access to social services by reducing barriers to education, mentoring, job skills development, employment resources, family stability, and healthy futures. Volunteers spend 85% of their time serving in dedicated projects and 15% participating in civic engagement and professional development opportunities with their AmeriCorps cohort. Member Duties : The Youth Mental Health Members will focus on youth 18-25 at Rogue Retreat Shelters. These members will work alongside case managers to provide one-on-one support with housing, life skills, mental health, employment, and positive changes in behavior and knowledge. They will be critical to ensuring that our youth break the cycle of homelessness, which can last up to 20 years or longer without early intervention. They will assist youth in participating in supportive services, meeting with case management to track individual progress, and assist at-risk youth in creating better futures.
