Position Summary:
The Rodeo Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to support the development and success of the rodeo team. This role includes responsibilities in recruitment, fundraising, and assisting with the Future Farmers of America (FFA) program, as well as ensuring the eligibility of team members.
Salary: $40,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting:
Identify and recruit prospective student-athletes interested in joining the rodeo team.
Attend rodeo events, high school competitions, and fairs to scout talent.
Maintain relationships with local high schools, rodeo associations, and community organizations.
Fundraising:
Collaborate with the head coach to create and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns to support the rodeo program.
Organize fundraising events, sponsorships, and outreach to local businesses and community members.
Manage donations and funding arrangements for team activities, travel, and equipment needs.
FFA Support and Engagement:
Assist the FFA program by providing coaching and mentoring to members interested in rodeo events.
Promote the rodeo teams involvement in FFA activities and competitions. Collaborate with FFA advisors to facilitate training sessions and workshops. Eligibility and Compliance:
Ensure all team members meet eligibility requirements and maintain compliance with league and school regulations.
Assist in the academic monitoring of athletes and promote academic success and responsibility.
Coaching and Training:
Support the Head Coach in organizing practices and training sessions for the team. Work individually with athletes to enhance their skills and performance in rodeo events. Provide guidance on techniques, safety, and sportsmanship.
Team Administration:
Assist with managing team schedules, travel arrangements, and logistics. Maintain accurate records of team activities, athlete performance, and academic progress.
Communicate regularly with athletes and their families regarding schedules, expectations, and progress.
