Job Summary

We are seeking a Rock Analysis Specialist to support safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery to customers. This position is responsible for the preparation, handling, processing, and documentation of rock core samples used for testing and analysis.

 

Job Description

  • Prepare rock core samples for testing and analysis.
  • Handle, process, organize, and maintain rock core samples.
  • Operate and work around heavy machinery and equipment in a shop environment.
  • Lift, move, and handle heavy objects and materials safely.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and inventory information.
  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate and completed on time.
  • Follow established procedures and standard work practices to support reliable service delivery.
  • Participate in job risk assessments and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Follow company, customer, and regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives, meetings, inspections, and action plans.
  • Wear required PPE and consistently follow all health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Complete and maintain all required safety training.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational and customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, quality, and service delivery.
  • Shift:  M-F 8-5 with ability to work OT and occasional weekends

 

Skills Required

  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail while performing repetitive or task-oriented work.
  • Ability to safely work with heavy machinery and equipment in a shop environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift operator experience or certification.
  • Previous machine shop experience.
  • Previous warehouse or material-handling experience.
  • Experience with inventory management and tracking.
  • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or field-service environment.

 

Education

  • Designer
  • Highschool diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $21 - $25 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
