Position Title: Electrical Design Supervisor
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire Electrical Design Supervisor opportunity located in Lynchburg, VA
Job Responsibilities:- Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.
- Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
- Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
- Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
- Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
- Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
- Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
- Works on special projects, as directed. Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
Job Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
- Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.
- Advanced level of specific software tools and programming skills
- Experience in control system design, analog and digital control.
- Electronic circuit design utilizing ORCAD schematic capture (or similar)
- Experienced in troubleshooting hardware issues from system level to board level to component level
- Motion control experience.
- FPGA / VHDL programming experience.
