    Job Title: Robotics and Controls Engineer
    Location: Delavan, WI

    Job Summary

    Seeking a Robotics and Controls Engineer with 5+ years of experience in industrial robotics, automation, controls, and mechanical system design. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with FANUC, ABB, and/or KUKA robots, robot programming, system integration, commissioning, PLC/HMI programming, machine vision, and automated workcell development.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design and develop custom robotic automation cells and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) using SolidWorks.
    Perform robot reachability studies, payload analysis, and system feasibility assessments.
    Program and optimize 6-axis industrial robots, including FANUC, ABB, and KUKA systems.
    Integrate, commission, troubleshoot, and validate robotic automation systems.
    Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs using digital and analog I/O.
    Develop and configure HMI interfaces for automated equipment.
    Integrate and program machine vision systems such as Cognex and Keyence for inspection, part location, and robotic guidance.
    Create, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics and industrial control drawings.
    Perform risk assessments and safety analysis for robotic workcells.
    Implement safety PLCs, light curtains, interlocks, and fail-safe mechanisms.
    Apply GD&T and ASME Y14.5 principles to mechanical designs and fixtures.
    Support powertrain fixture design, automation tooling, and mechanical integration.
    Perform system testing, debugging, commissioning, and production validation.
    Apply Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to improve automation efficiency and throughput.

    Required Skills

    5+ years of experience in robotics, controls, automation, or industrial robotics engineering.
    Strong hands-on experience with FANUC, ABB, and/or KUKA 6-axis robots.
    Experience with robot programming, system integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and motion optimization.
    Strong PLC/HMI programming experience with digital and analog I/O.
    Experience with machine vision systems, preferably Cognex or Keyence.
    Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
    Strong knowledge of GD&T / ASME Y14.5.
    Experience with robotic workcells, EOAT, fixtures, and automation equipment.
    Knowledge of robot reachability, payload, torque, center of gravity, and moment of inertia analysis.
    Experience with electrical schematics and industrial controls.
    Knowledge of robotic safety standards such as ANSI/RIA R15.06, ISO 10218, ISO 13849, or ANSI B11.19.
    Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering field preferred.
    FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification/exam completion preferred.
