Job: Robotic Arm Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Pay: $30- $32.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (occasional Saturdays and overtime as required)

Job Overview

MGR Workforce is hiring experienced Robotic Arm Technicians for a leading manufacturing client in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with experience installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial robotic arm systems in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background, can diagnose equipment issues efficiently, and is committed to maintaining safe and reliable production operations. Preferred experience is with strong backgrounds in FANUC, ABB, or Yaskawa systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission industrial robotic arm systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on robotic equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Calibrate robotic systems to ensure accurate operation.
  • Test equipment after repairs and verify proper performance.
  • Work with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to robotic automation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with industrial robotic arm systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience performing maintenance and repairs on automated production equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or certificate in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Mandatory 2-3 years of experience working with automated manufacturing equipment and robotic production cells.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working around industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
