Robot Welder (1st Shift)Penmac Staffing is hiring a Robot Welder for a leading manufacturer of suspension systems, axles, air controls, and auxiliary systems used in commercial trucks, buses, RVs, and other heavy-duty vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with welding experience who are committed to safety, quality, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.Requirements for the Robot Welder
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to read and use measuring devices such as tape measures, hook rules, and protractors
- Must be able to pass the client's welder certification test
- Good attendance and safety record
- Ability to provide required tools
- Available to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of production welding experience
- Experience operating robotic welding equipment or NC machinery
- Experience using lift tables, cranes, and hoists
- Carbon arc experience
Robot Welder Responsibilities
- Fixture parts and operate robotic welding equipment according to work instructions
- Finish weld parts to blueprint specifications
- Follow established welding procedures and AWS symbols and requirements
- Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections
- Make program touch-ups as needed
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping
- Assist with training new employees
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Physical Requirements
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
- Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods
- Bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Work scheduled 10-hour shifts
Work EnvironmentThis position is located in an indoor manufacturing facility with a team-oriented atmosphere. Personal protective equipment including ear, eye, and foot protection is required. Performance is measured based on safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and contributions to continuous improvement efforts.
