    We're looking for a Roadway Project Manager to join our Transportation Group. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects and lead design efforts on a wide range of transportation projects, including corridor studies, roadway rehabilitation, ADA compliance, and complex interchanges. The ideal candidate will bring DOT or Municipal design experience.


    What You'll Do

    As a Roadway Project Manager, you'll:

    • Manage projects and lead design efforts for transportation projects, including intersections, local streets, collectors, arterials, rural roadways, trails, sidewalks, and ADA facilities.
    • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, survey data, and other technical information to support design development and preparation of construction documents.
    • Conduct preliminary engineering evaluations and studies to identify design alternatives and develop recommendations.
    • Prepare and review project quantities and cost estimates.
    • Coordinate internally with multidisciplinary teams to align technical disciplines, project priorities, deliverables, and schedules.
    • Coordinate externally with clients, subconsultants, agencies, and other project partners to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and support successful project delivery.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, responsiveness, and an understanding of client needs and project expectations.
    • Manage projects with accountability for scope, schedule, and budget, proactively identifying and addressing potential impacts to project delivery.
    • Monitor and manage project financial performance, including budgets, labor utilization, progress against scope, and overall project profitability.
    • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and QA/QC requirements.
    • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development.
    • Ensure project work complies with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and design standards.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
    • PE license required
    • 7+ years of experience in project design and plan development; DOT or Municipal experience preferred.
    • Proficiency with Bentley's OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
    • Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
    • Ability to lead design tasks across a variety of transportation project types.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local policies, procedures, and regulations.
