Roadway Engineering Associate

Barge Design Solutions Inc. is seeking a motivated Roadway Engineering Associate to join our team in Nashville, TN. In this position, you will play a key role in delivering impactful infrastructure solutions that benefit the communities we serve, including engaging work on a variety of roadway design projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design of a variety of roadway project types, including:

• Urban streets

• Rural highways

• Bridge replacements

• Sidewalks and greenways

• Interchanges

• Intersections

• Roundabouts

• Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies to resolve issues and develop effective solutions.

• Assist in the analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, and permits for projects.

• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to prepare engineering and design documents, drawings.

• Accompany design team on site visits and client meetings as needed.

• Learn and apply TN Department of Transportation (TDOT) guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• Ensure tasks are completed promptly and meet quality expectations.
