What you will be doing:- Assist with the design and production of DOT, turnpike, county, and municipal transportation projects.
- Support the project manager in all aspects of design for transportation projects, including roadway design, bridge design, drainage, and traffic control.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to production staff.
- Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
- Attend client meetings to ensure the design meets their needs and objectives.
Experience you will need:- B.S. in Civil Engineering.
- 1-5+ years of experience in DOT, municipal, and county-related transportation projects.
- Prior experience in roadway and/or bridge design.
- Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation products (OpenRoads, InRoads, or Geopak) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- PE license in Kansas is preferred (or the ability to obtain said license in a timely manner).
- Knowledge of local standards and requirements is preferred.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks.
- Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
- Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately.
