We are seeking a talented Roadway Engineer to join our growing Transportation team and help deliver impactful infrastructure projects that shape the future of our communities. Jacobs' highway engineering teams support a wide range of transportation projects including highways, interchanges, urban corridors, rural roadways, and major reconstruction programs.

Your Impact

As a Highway Engineer, you'll work alongside transportation experts, planners, and project managers to develop innovative roadway solutions for state, local, and federal clients. You'll contribute to projects from planning and preliminary design through final design and construction support.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop highway and roadway designs for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
  • Apply AASHTO, DOT, and local design standards to develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Participate in quality reviews and support project delivery throughout all phases of design.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to Jacobs' culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to get comity within 6 months from another state
  • Experience delivering highway, roadway, or transportation design projects.
  • Proficiency with roadway design software such as OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, or Civil 3D.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

79,900.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

207,100.00

The base salary range for this position is $79,900.00 to $207,100.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
