Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with shippers via email and phone to confirm shipment details and requirements.
- Book pickups with qualified carriers, ensuring capacity and adherence to specified transit times.
- Track and update shipment statuses to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Monitor shipments throughout their transit to confirm on-time delivery and resolve issues proactively.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments in coordination with carriers and customers.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer inquiries, providing clear, professional communication.
- Work closely with carriers across various modalities (dry van, flatbed, temp-controlled) to optimize load movements.
- Facilitate communication among shippers, carriers, and customers to develop tactical solutions and improve daily operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in transportation and supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of transportation industry systems and processes.
- Understanding of industry-specific guidelines for dry van, reefer, flatbed, expedite, and LTL shipments.
