    Job Title: Road Construction Project Manager/Senior Civil Engineer
    Location: Marietta, GA
    Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
    Salary: Commensurate with experience
    Position Overview
    We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in heavy road/highway construction and/or multi-use trail projects. This position will work under the supervision of a Georgia-registered Professional Engineer (PE).
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering (MANDATORY)
    • 5+ years of experience managing road infrastructure projects
    • Proficiency with MS Project and Bluebeam/AutoCAD
    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
    • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
    • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet stringent deadlines
    • EIT exam passed is a strong plus
    Key Responsibilities
    • Plan and coordinate all construction operations
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met
    • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality control
    • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors
    • Purchase construction materials
    • Prepare subcontractor agreements
    • Prepare project submittals
    • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
    • Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed
    • Prepare pay applications and invoices
    • Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
    • Locate and research public bid opportunities for potential projects that align with company capabilities
    • Interpret drawings and technical documents to prepare project estimates
    • Complete bid takeoffs by estimating the material, equipment, and labor quantities required to complete proposed projects
    • Perform unit price cost analysis
    • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
    • Maintain and update the construction-related materials pricing database
    • Coordinate the preparation of bid proposal packages
    • Prepare estimate summaries for bids and complete bid documents
    • Attend bid openings and review post-bid information to ensure scopes of work are correct and accurate
