Shift: Days | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract: 13 weeks | 40 hr/week
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Utilization Review (UR) Registered Nurse to support utilization review, case management, and discharge planning activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with MCG guidelines and Epic EMR, along with a solid background in utilization review and care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Perform Utilization Review for assigned patients/cases.
- Conduct Case Management and coordinate patient care.
- Support Discharge Planning and transitions of care.
- Apply MCG guidelines to support medical necessity and level-of-care determinations.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document reviews and case management activities accurately in Epic.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Previous experience in Utilization Review and/or Case Management.
- Experience with MCG guidelines is required.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Experience with Discharge Planning preferred.
- Strong clinical documentation, communication, and care coordination skills.
