We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join a skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in Lockport, NY.

The Unit Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily clinical operations, supporting nursing staff, coordinating resident care, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day nursing operations of an assigned unit within a skilled nursing facility.

• Coordinate and monitor resident care plans and communicate changes in condition to families and the appropriate clinical leadership.

• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and nursing staff while promoting a collaborative team environment.

• Conduct nursing rounds and monitor the overall quality of resident care.

• Review resident records and individual cases to ensure appropriate care and documentation.

• Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced nurses and nursing staff.

• Educate staff on policies, procedures, and clinical standards.

• Help implement new policies and procedures and ensure compliance with established standards of care.

• Address questions and concerns from residents and their families with professionalism and compassion.

• Communicate staffing, clinical, and operational needs to the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing.

• Collaborate with nursing leadership and other members of the care team to continuously improve quality outcomes.

• Represent the needs and interests of the assigned unit to nursing and facility leadership.

Qualifications

• Active and valid New York State RN license.

• Previous long-term care/skilled nursing experience required.

• At least 1 year of nursing experience.

• Current CPR certification.

• Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer proficiency.

• Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
