Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in nursing, Diploma RN. Preferred bachelor's degree in nursing
Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program
Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience
Valid Registered Nursing License
BLS (Or obtain within 30 days of hire)
Ability to follow oral instruction, read and write
Basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong work ethics and accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
Orthopaedic experience
1-year Operating Room experience (preferred in Orthopaedics)
Scrubbing experience
Current BLS
EPIC

Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care for patients within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards.
The RN is responsible to adhere to the standard of care defined by UAMS, ANA, and Standards for specialty patient population with support and mentoring by other team members.
Conduct preoperative assessments and verify patient identity, procedure, consent, and surgical site.
Develop and implement individualized perioperative plans of care.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
Monitor patient status throughout the intraoperative phase and respond to clinical changes.
Maintain a sterile surgical environment, including surgical counts, specimen handling, and proper patient positioning.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products according to established protocols.
Serve as the patient advocate and ensure adherence to patient safety standards.
Provide patient and family education related to surgical care and recovery.
Delegate tasks appropriately and support a collaborative, perioperative team environment.
