TheRN Team Leadwill guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver expert clinical care for children and teens in ChildServe’s Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Medicine program, the only comprehensive pediatric rehab program of its kind in Iowa. This role ensures individualized care needs are met while fostering staff engagement and effective teamwork.

What You'll Do
Business Responsibilities
- Ensureenvironmentismaintainedaccording to regulatory requirements. Consistentlydemonstrategood stewardship ofChildServeequipment, supplies, and environment.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Within the nursing/respiratory therapy scope of practice andphysician’sorders, ensure the implementation of each child’s care plan and achieves the goalsset forth inthat care plan.
Supervision
- Ensurenewly hired staff are equipped to provide care. Ensure assigned staff are engaged in their work and that they are appropriately developed. Effectively manage staff performance. Role model great care and coaches andmentorscolleagues toimprovedperformance.
Documentation
- Ensurestaffdocumentaccurately, completely, andtimelyas defined by nursing/respiratory therapy standards or practice andChildServepolicies and procedures and provides feedback to supervisor on how the documentation system can be improved.
What You'll Need
- Current valid license as a RN in Iowa.
- Preferred: 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical conditions.
- Preferred:Specialty nursing certifications (CPN, CBIS, CRRN).
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days and before working independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
