Job Purpose:

  • The RN Residential Director at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for overseeing and managing the nursing and residential services within the facility. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality care to residents, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the implementation of best practices in nursing and residential care. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the residential nursing services, ensuring that all activities align with the center's policies and standards.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents, ensuring that all care provided is person-centered and evidence-based.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to promote professional development and high standards of care.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans, facilitating communication between medical professionals, residents, and their families.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and programs, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes and resident satisfaction.
  • Manage the budget and resources for the nursing department, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources while maintaining quality care.
  • Serve as a liaison between the facility and external healthcare providers, community organizations, and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead initiatives to improve the quality of care and resident experience, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by residents, families, or staff, maintaining a focus on resident welfare and satisfaction.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a behavioral health or residential care setting.
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare environment.
  • Proven track record of managing residential care programs and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, residents, and families.
  • Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address complex care situations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to residential care facilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance resident care and program outcomes.
