Working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model, the RN in this role collects comprehensive assessment data and independently analyzes findings to establish diagnoses, identify individualized expected outcomes, and guide treatment decisions.

A Registered Nurse is sought for a Renal Vascular unit at a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center in Gainesville, FL. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission, certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, holds an Accredited Chest Pain Center designation by the American College of Cardiology, and is designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.

The role. Working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model, the RN in this role collects comprehensive assessment data and independently analyzes findings to establish diagnoses, identify individualized expected outcomes, and guide treatment decisions. The nurse serves as an advocate for patient safety within the interdisciplinary team, coordinating effective use of time, supplies, and equipment throughout the care process. A meaningful part of the position involves educating patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments, and providing consistent support across the duration of each patient's stay.

What we're looking for.

• 1 year of RN experience required (open to any setting, for example: LTAC, Home Health, etc.)
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Days 7: 00 AM – 7: 00 PM; Nights 7: 00 PM – 7: 00 AM.
