Overview
Clinic office Nurse completes assigned duties, serves as a vital communication link between the physician(s) and the patients, families, referral sources, physicians' offices and others. The associate assist the rehabilitation physicians(s) and ARNP's as needed in the outpatient rehabilitation office. Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing patient care within an outpatient office setting. The patients to be served include adolescent, adult, and geriatric population with occasional infant or pediatric patient populations. In addition, this associate is expected to adhere to and exemplify the St. Luke's Standards of Excellence and the PMR associate-patient relationship policy. This clinic office nurse can be either licensed as a RN or LPN.

Responsibilities
Clinical excellence-patient care
Rooms patients using the EPIC rooming tabs and required elements per Joint Commission and regulations.
Implements measures to promote a safe environment for the patient/family.
Assists Provider in patient examinations and treatments/procedures by physicians including EMG, spasticity management, initial and recheck evaluations.
Draws up botox per physician order for the physician to administer.
Administers medications and nursing treatments within scope of practice
Refilling of baclofen pumps are done by physician, ARNP, or RN only.
Anticipates physician's need for supplies and instruments prior to and during the course of the examinations
Communicates effectively with discharge planners, insurance carriers, physicians, patient, family members and other related parties.
Successfully completes the orientation and annual hospital and unit specific competencies
Incorporates St. Luke's Comfort/C.A.R.E. Professional Practice Model in clinic nursing care
