RN Rehab Intake Coordinator

Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*. Knowledge of Inpatient Rehabilitation Medicare admission criteria.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Associate Degree in Nursing

 

Licensure, Certification, Registration:

 

BLS

 

One of the following:

• Current Alabama RN license
• Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

 

One of the following:

• Certified Rehab Nurse
• Certified Rehab Nurse within 18 months of entry into position

Desired Qualifications:

 

BSN

 

Considerable knowledge of acute care med-surg nursing

 

Knowledge of Inpatient Rehabilitation Medicare admission criteria  

Responsibilities:

Evaluates patient referrals for Inpatient Rehabilitation admission according to standardized criteria and coordinates specialized activities/services/equipment to achieve efficient and effective outcomes after transfer. Communicates with insurance provider and validates benefits as necessary.
