    Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Skilled Nursing / Long-Term CareCardinal Care Strategies Muncie, IN Position Type: Full-time / Part-time / PRN Position Summary:

    The Registered Nurse (RN)  provides compassionate, professional nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment. 

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, treatments, and documentation.

    • Monitor residents’ health status, observe for changes in condition, and report promptly to the RN or physician.

    • Assist with developing, updating, and implementing individualized care plans.

    • Supervise and direct Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure quality resident care.

    • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records and documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.

    • Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer processes for residents.

    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

    • Promote residents’ rights, dignity, and independence.

    • Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.

    • Participate in continuing education and staff development activities.

    Qualifications:
    • Current RN license in good standing with the Indiana State Board of Nursing.

    • CPR certification (BLS) required.

    • Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

    • Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

    • Must be able to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.

    Work Schedule:
    • Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, as assigned.

    • Overtime and on-call duties as required by facility needs.

    Physical and Environmental Requirements:
    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transferring residents.

    • Exposure to infectious materials and chemicals in a healthcare environment.

    • Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and calmly.

    Reports To:
    Director of Nursing (DON), or Nursing Supervisor
