    Positions details:

    • Location: Winter Haven Hospital - Winter Haven, Florida
    • Status: Part Time
    • Shift: 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM
    • Every other weekend requirement
    • On Call: Yes
    • Always in person

    Requirements:

    • RN (Registered Nurse) License
    • Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
    • 5 years as a Registered Nurse in Hemodialysis OR 1-year Acute Care as a RN OR 6-months Acute Care experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment
    • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
    • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

    The Registered Nurse - Hemodialysis responsibilities and skills:

    • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of Dialysis patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
    • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
    • Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
    • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
    • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
    • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
    • Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
    • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
    • Professional accountability and development
