    A Registered Nurse opportunity in the Pulmonary unit is available at a 523-bed acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL — a Joint Commission-accredited facility designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology, and a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.

    The role. In this position, you will collect and analyze comprehensive patient assessment data to establish diagnoses, identify individualized expected outcomes, and develop patient-centered care plans. You will serve as an advocate for patient safety within an interdisciplinary team, coordinating effective use of time, supplies, and equipment to support quality outcomes. A key part of the role involves educating patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments, providing consistent support throughout their hospital stay. You will be expected to make independent clinical assessments and manage treatment autonomously while collaborating closely with colleagues across the care team.

    What we're looking for.

    • 1 year of RN experience required (any setting considered, including LTAC, Home Health, etc.)
    • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
    • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
    • BLS (AHA Healthcare provider) required prior to start
    • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    Schedule. Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
