Unit Information

• Adolescent Unit: 18 beds, patients aged 12-18 years
• Serenity Unit: 24 beds, lower acuity adult patients
• Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU): 32 beds, higher acuity adult patients with thought disorders
• Senior Adult Unit (SRAD): 16 beds, senior lifestyle patients
• VINE Unit: 9 beds, lower acuity adult patients

Patient Ratios

• Nurses: 8 to 1
• Mental Health Technicians (MHTs): 12 to 1

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements

Coverage is needed for three 12-hour shifts each day, seven days a week, including weekends. Days off are not guaranteed unless specified in the contract.

Required Skills

• Ability to assess patients' mental health status, identify psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patients' mental health needs.
• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support to patients in crisis, including de-escalation techniques.
• Therapeutic Communication: Build trust and rapport with patients using effective communication skills and empathy.

Procedures Performed on Unit

Monitoring patients for physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs and medication effects.

Certifications Required

BLS and CPI certifications are mandatory.

Dress Code

Required uniforms: Nurses wear blue; MHTs wear green or black.
