Job Overview
Fairview Health Services is searching for hardworking RNs looking for an exciting career in our Pediatric Unit located at our Burnsville, Minnesota campus! Our hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions. The hospital has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the sophisticated Minnesota Valley since 1984.
Schedule: This position is 48 hours per pay period, nights, 12 hour shifts (7pm-7:30am), every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
About This Unit:
Fairview Ridges Pediatric staff work on a 16 bed unit that accepts pediatric patients and overflow adult patients. The types of patient diagnosis include, but not limited to: respiratory illness, hyperbilirubinemia, appendectomies, urinary tract infection, sepsis, gastroenteritis, dehydration. The culture is one of teamwork & collaboration between ALL.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
