What Youll Do
- Deliver safe, high-quality care utilizing the nursing process in the operating room.
- Assess patient needs pre- and post-surgery and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure smooth procedures.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and manage nursing resources efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrate professionalism and accountability in all aspects of patient care.
- Support unit and departmental goals through continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Need
Required:- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of perioperative or operating room nursing experience
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:- Experience supervising or managing teams
- Additional specialty certifications related to perioperative nursing
- Excellent delegation skills and cultural sensitivity
