Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract – 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Days | 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM | 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $3,000 - $3,400/week

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room to provide perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital setting, with strong experience in both scrubbing and circulating.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care throughout the perioperative process.

  • Perform both scrub and circulating RN responsibilities.

  • Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

  • Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy.

  • Assist with and monitor patients receiving conscious sedation.

  • Maintain a safe and sterile operating environment.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff.

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

  • Current New York State RN License.

  • Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration from NYSED.

  • Current AHA BLS certification.

  • Current AHA ACLS certification.

  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room Scrub RN experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of Circulating RN experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience.

  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and patient safety.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
