We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a close-knit Surgical Services team at a rural, critical access hospital near Port Angeles, Washington. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy a broad scope of practice, hands-on perioperative care, and the opportunity to make a direct impact in a community-focused setting.

Position Overview:
As an OR RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient surgical care from preoperative preparation through postoperative handoff. Nurses in this environment work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists, often managing a wide variety of cases and responding to urgent needs common in rural settings.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 5 eight-hour shifts per week

• Day, evening, and night shifts available

• On-call rotation required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide circulating and/or scrub nursing support during surgical procedures

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies

• Perform preoperative assessments and verify surgical consents

• Maintain sterile fields and infection prevention standards

• Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to changes in condition

• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams

• Ensure accurate documentation and patient handoff

Qualifications:

• Active Washington State RN license

• BLS required

• ACLS preferred

• Prior Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience preferred

• CNOR certification a plus
