14-week contract, 4x 10-hour shifts and rotating weekends, day shift: 800- 1830
Requirements:- DC RN License required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with nurse navigator or nurse coordinator
- Oncology experience preferred
- Cerner experience
- AHA BLS Required

Skills Required: Care and management of ports, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Starting IVs, Acute Tumor Lysis, Syndrome (ATLS), Anaphylaxis, Extravasation injury, Hemorrhage, Sepsis, Spinal Cord Compression, Neutropenic precautions, Tracheostomy care/management, External Radiation therapy (Teletherapy), Radiation safety precautions, Wound Care, Altered mental status, Constipation/diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea/vomiting, Neuropathy
Job Description: Patients are reporting Monday-Friday for radiation therapy. The nurse navigator's role is to provide care as needed to patients. The types of care radiation nurses provide include education, skincare/wound care, assessment of radiation toxicity, and social needs. Nursing may be called to assess any signs or symptoms of anything that is concerning and will consult with the proper channels, i.e., attending physician, resident, or emergency services.
