Position Details:

RN-Medical Surgical Unit- Fort Defiance AZ

Location                            : Fort Defiance AZ 86504

Duration                           : 13 weeks

Pay-rate                            : $54-$57 an hour

Job Description:

·         Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients.

·         With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios:  Non-Covid: typically, 4:1, max 5:1. Covid patients: typically, 2:1, max 3:1.

Key Responsibilities

·         Provide direct nursing care to medical and surgical patients.

·         Assess patients’ conditions and monitor vital signs and overall health status.

·         Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

·         Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.

·         Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.

·         Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

·         Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

·         Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

·         Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.

·         Respond effectively to urgent and changing patient care needs.

·         Support a positive and professional patient-care environment.

Required Certifications:

·         American Heart Association

·         BLS

·         ACLS

·         PALS

Experience:

·         Three (3) years of med-surg experience,

·         1-year pediatric experience required,

·         Must be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients.
