Job Description

The Family Center is a 27-bed unit specializing in couplet care, newborn assessment services, and antepartum care. This role primarily cares for postpartum, newborn, and antepartum patients, while also floating to Labor & Delivery to support LDRP needs. Antepartum and postpartum cross-training is expected as part of this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for postpartum and antepartum patients.
• Float to Labor & Delivery as needed to support LDRP functions.
• Perform newborn assessments and support breastfeeding and lactation.
• Educate parents on newborn care and discharge instructions.
• Monitor and manage high-risk antepartum patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, with acute care RN experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is mandatory.
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current BLS certification required.
• C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification) must be obtained before submission; antepartum and EFM experience preferred.
