    Full Time RN - Medical Surgical

    The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, acute care environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, as well as collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide a safe and quality patient experience.

     

    Responsibilities of the Medical Surgical RN include:



    • Administering medications and treatments
    • Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in condition
    • Performing patient assessments and documenting findings
    • Developing and implementing patient care plans
    • Educating patients and their families about their condition and treatment
    • Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to provide a safe and quality patient experience


    Qualifications for the Medical Surgical RN include:



    • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
    • Current Alaska Registered Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider) Card
    • One year of experience in a medical surgical setting
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
