Description


Job Summary:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Education:
Required Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred Education:
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certification & Licensure:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
BLS Preferred

Languages:
English: Read, Write, Speak

Certifications & Licenses:
BLS  AHA
RN License

Schedule Notes:
Auto offers approved Required: 2%2B years of general medsurg unit experience, BLS certification from AHA, current MI RN licensure.
Highly preferred: At least one year of experience working on a surgical floor.
Floating: Candidates may be asked to float.
Location is acuity adaptable.
May be asked to float to lockdown unit. OT billed after 48 hours

Shift Hours:

7AM - 7PM , Worker Required To Float To An Equal Or Lesser Acuity If Requested
