    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (M/S RN) to provide quality nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients.

    Required Qualifications

    • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience.
    • Strong experience caring for adult medical and surgical patients.
    • EPIC experience required.
    • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
    • Strong medication administration and patient-care skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients throughout hospitalization.
    • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
    • Monitor vital signs, clinical status, and changes in patient condition.
    • Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other interventions according to orders and facility protocols.
    • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
    • Care for patients recovering from surgical procedures and trauma.
    • Provide wound care and other nursing procedures within scope of practice.
    • Assist with patient mobility, activities of daily living, and safety needs.
    • Implement individualized nursing care plans.
    • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, procedures, discharge instructions, and ongoing care.
    • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, technicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in EPIC.
    • Follow infection-control, patient-safety, medication-administration, and hospital policies.
    • Participate in patient handoffs and maintain clear communication with the care team.
    • Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency patient-care situations.
