RN Manager – Labor & Delivery

Location: Savannah, GA

Schedule: Full-Time | Days | No Weekends

Position Overview

The RN Manager of Labor & Delivery is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing unit operations to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department performance. Working collaboratively with the leadership team, this role plays a key part in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and operational plans that support safe, patient-centered care. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Labor & Delivery leader who values teamwork and is passionate about supporting both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for daily Labor & Delivery operations
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and workflow to support patient care needs
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Promote a positive, supportive team culture and high standards of clinical care
  • Supervise and support nursing and support staff, including RNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental planning
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery required
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Strong clinical expertise and proven leadership skills in Labor & Delivery

Unit Overview

  • 12 Labor & Delivery beds with 4 overflow beds
  • 3 Operating Rooms
  • 2 Triage beds
  • 4-bed PACU
  • Approximately 300 births per month (3,500 annually)

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to the Director of Women’s Services

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary up to $110,000 annually
  • Relocation assistance available (case by case)
  • Sign-on bonus available (case by case)
